Winter Care for
your dogs and cats:
- Provide a warm suitable
dog house or shed for your outside pets.
- Remember: Straw is
a good insulator for outside bedding
- Make sure that fresh
water is provided and kept unfrozen twice daily
- Feed extra protein.
Your pets body burns more calories during the winter.
Horses
Feed plenty of hay during the cold months. It helps generate
heat. An average adult horse needs 1 to 2 pounds of hay per
100 pounds of body weight each day
A free-choice salt block should be available for adequate
sodium for their diet.
Ensure that your horses has access to clean, unfrozen drinking
water at all times.
Continue de worming your horse every two months to promote
better digestion of feed and to reduce the risk of weight
loss or colic.

Senses |

dog and cat detects sights, sounds, and smells that are
inaudible, invisible and unsmellable to us.
Dogs and cats eyes shine at night because of a reflective
membrane in the back of their eyes.
Dogs can not distinguish green from red but can tell blue
from yellow. |

| Inner Strength |
If you can start the day
without caffeine or pep pills, if you can be cheerful, ignoring
aches and pains, if you can resist complaining and boring people
with your troubles, if you can eat the same food everyday and
be grateful for it, if you can understand when loved ones are
too busy to give you time, if you can overlook when people take
things out on you when,
through no fault of yours, something goes wrong, if you can take
criticism and blame without resentment, if you can face the world
without lies and deceit, if you can conquer tension without medical
help, if you can relax without liquor, if you can sleep without
the aid of drugs, if you can do all these things,.......
Then you are probably
the family pet.
